| Introduction | Ultra Endurance Athlete from San Diego, CA. I began running in 2000 as a way to make lifestyle changes. I was overweight and disappointed in my body. It was a challenging and I was barely able to run a quarter mile without taking a break. After several months and 40 pounds of weight loss, I was addicted to running. Since that time I have run numerous road/trail races of distances ranging from 5k to 100 miles. I have also run the Grand Canyon R2R2R, Catcus-to-Clouds-to-Catcus (C2C2C), Zion Traverse and Joshua Tree Traverse. In addition to ultra running, I love skiing, mountaineering and rock climbing. When I am not training for my next ultra endurance event, I am a Naval Special Operation and Diving Medical Officer taking care of my fellow Sailors. |
