Introduction "Coming home from very lonely places, all of uo]s go a little mad: Whether from great personal success, or just an all-night drive, we are the sole survivors of a world no one else has ever seen." ~ John le Carre
Interests CAUSES that I care about, Reading, writing, photography, art (both creating and enjoying the work of others), volleyball, skiing (snow), music, collage, mixed media, edits, astronomy, hiking, poetry, escaping my reality as often as possible. AND . . . Naturally, Rattle Snakes.
Favorite Movies Don't watch a lot of movies, but the classics of the 80's are undoubtedly the best late-night, entertaining, irreplaceable works of cinematography known to exist - no matter how stupid they may seem on the surface (some of them). Breakfast club, Goonies, 16 candles . . . etc. OFFICE SPACE is the best movie known to exist.
Favorite Music I'm very eclectic; almost absurdly so. Perhaps 40% folk, 20% oldies (but not much past the 60's), 20% alternative/rock, 5% techno/trance (this percentage has gone down in direct correlation with my age), 10% world groove - I wouldn't know the official genre name for it, and 5% Jazz. There's a lot more to it, but I obviously love music to have taken the time to give it that much thought!
Favorite Books Easy. I was a book-worm since I could read, "See Jane Run, " Clan of the Cave Bear (#1 - read it in English twice, once in Spanish), JR Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings" series (the movies left out SO MUCH), the first 2 or 3 books in the "Gunslinger" series (King got a little out there even for him toward the end of the 7 series saga), The Eye of the Dragon (and other books by Stephen King - the older classics). Chronicles of Narnia is indescribably delightful to read because it is BOTH idealistic AND actually well written - two qualities hard to find in one book!), The Man Who Mistook his Wife for a Hat, The Mismeasurement of Man, Wasted, Comprehensive works of various poets such as Plath, Sexton, Rollins, Ginsberg and others.

You're going to the moon! What did you forget to pack?
