| Introduction | This blog was developed as part of the Visiting Research Fellowship at the Centre for Book Cultures and Publishing, University of Reading, 2025. The project focused on chromolithographic techniques in the Michael Twyman Collection, with an emphasis on progressive proofs, colour layering, and print culture. Helenbar is a Brazilian designer, artist, and researcher whose work explores historical colour printing and the visual languages of 19th-century graphic ephemera. She is an associate professor at ESDI/UERJ and was awarded the CAPES Prize for her doctoral thesis on Brazilian chromolithography. |
