| Introduction | Yagan Kiely is a composer who was accepted into University in his 16th year for a Certificate IV course in Classical Composition. After graduation, he started a Bachelor of Music in Composition. Yagan’s attendance at University and private tuition has been pivotal in the improvements in his compositional abilities and the expansion of his compositions into different styles and genres. Yagan enjoys composing music according to the requirements of others and is able to adapt his compositions to satisfy the needs of a wide variety of disciplines. On the 18th of September 2006, Yagan won the Tura New Music Young Composers Award 2006, for his clarinet sonata. He is currently a forum Administrator on the popular free PD score website, www.imslp.org. Although greatly interested in Concert music, he is also keen to apply his compositional ability to film and has done so on multiple occasions to date.
