Introduction	The extremely fragile ecosystems of the World i.e. Antarctica (the bottom of the Earth) and the Himalayan Ranges (top of the Earth), are both under immense anthropogenic threats. The ecosystem hotspot areas, like Manipur of the Himalayan ranges, are slowly vanishing of its unique biological diversity, e.g., endangered and rare lily species Siroi Lily (Lilium mackliniae Sealy), found only in the Ukhrul District of Manipur is under human centric developmental pressures. The local people believed that it was reincarnated from a beautiful princess. Some thought it to be ‘angel’! If the lily species extinct, both the gene pool, history, culture, tradition and diversity will be lost simultaneously. Therefore, we need to preserve it for our future generations.
