| Introduction | Hi, everyone! I started The Belle's Buzz in the hopes of sharing my successes (and failures!) as a work-from-home mom. I get asked about my blog's name so I'll tell you the story behind it. I was raisedin a small, Alabama town. I shelled peas on my grandmother's front porch in the country, have always called folks "y'all" as opposed to "you guys" and have an unusual affinity for homemade biscuits and fig preserves. My husband calls me his Southern Belle due to my Southern mannerisms - The Belle for short. In 2001, I quit my full-time job in order to work from home as a grant writing consultant with our much-wanted baby. Did I mention there was no actual baby-in-waiting when I quit? Right, so that was 2001 and baby arrived just six years later (yep, that's a whole other conversation.) In any event, Baby is now an active, 3 year old boy that I'm so thankful to work from home with every day. |
