Introduction	I was originally published by Grace Paley's Glad Day Books. Ms. Paley also worked on HYSTERA with me and had intended to publish it with Glad Day but her sad passing made this not possible to fulfill as Glad Day Books will no longer be in operation. Grace had nominated the novel for the PEN Hemingway Award for First Fiction, and the book did receive an award stipend from the PEN Faulkner Writers-in-the Schools Program, among some other awards and honors. EDGES is currently in development with Triboro Pictures for a feature film.
