Introduction	I am a midwife by profession, I have four children of my own and 2 grandchildren. My passion in life was and still is to some degree, teaching new mothers how to make the transition to motherhood, in a practical and emotional way. During my experience I encountered many families who were living with family members with Mental Health Issues, which became significant as this was occurring within my own family. The frustrations and stigma that arose from those times, led me to change my career after 20 years as a midwife, to helping parents who have experienced the emotional damage that having children with mental illness had on them. This blog is about healing the emotional wounds that arise from those experiences and dealing with day to day emotional healing from past negative event.
