| Introduction | I grew up watching my very artistic grandmother make dolls and "pinwheel" quilts. She loved to embroider flowers on the dolls dresses. My mother taught me how to crochet and sew when I was eight years old. This encouraged me to nurture my creative side. One day I was given a box of pastels and ended up showing my pastel landscapes in some local shows and one several awards, including a first place.
