Introduction So what's a ShortStackFoodie? A type-A personality, Virgo, small business owner (x2?!?!?!) who is totally food obsessed, farmers market crazed and generally in need of a cocktail by the end of the day. Partner to the most amazing man in the world (bet you ladies thought YOU had Mr. Perfect ... nope, sorry he's all mine) and mother to one fur-child. Sunny outlook on life, as long as there is good olive oil and garlic close at hand ...
Interests Cooking, skiing, photography and working ... not necessarily in that order.
Favorite Movies Baraka for inspiration ... Office Space for days when I can't possibly take another work-related-oddity ... Dirty Dancing because I can recite every line word for word ... oddly I don't watch a lot of films ... due to watching a tonne of Coronation Street and EastEnders ...
Favorite Music Fleetwood Mac ... oh sorry, are there other bands that exist? Um let's see how I can date myself with my musical selection ... Stone Roses, The Smiths (yes and Morrissey), Depeche Mode, Tori Amos, Kate Bush, ..., basically Brit Pop from the 80's and early 90's ..I think the list is too extensive as I glance over at my CD collection (yes, I said CD collection) ...of course Pink Floyd, The Band, Bob Dylan ... (now I'm glancing at my vinyl ... yes, vinyl ... and THAT list is far too extensive) ... should I perhaps just say that 'music today' makes me want to jab my eyes out with a rusty screwdriver? Yes, let's leave it at that.
Favorite Books Oh dear ... my book collection is larger than my music collection. I have all the Paolo Coelho and Khalil Gibran books and find them all terribly inspiring. Also the book my Uni-roomie and Gee-BFF gave me on my graduation from Uni - Jonathan Livingston Seagull ... it is a yearly read, those of you who have read it know why. No, no, this is too difficult ... in all honesty I normally curl up with a travel guide or a cookbook ... is that weird?
