| Introduction | I attended Jacksonville University and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts, in Dance. I also attended the The Boston Conservatory and trained under principal dancers of the Boston Ballet. I performed at the American College Dance festival representing Jacksonville University two years in a row as well as attended the American Dance Festival at Duke University. I was a member of The Dryden Patriots Baton Twirling Group 14 years. My teachers from The Dryden Patriots - Chris Myer Radi and JoAnn Myer Folland were the lead twirlers for Cornell University and The University of South Carolina. Many of my Dryden Patriot twirl mates went onto twirl for such elite schools as Syracuse University and Cornell University; I chose to further my studies in Dance, Dance Education and Theatre Performance. The Dryden Patriots competed in many regional competitions as well as the Twirling Unlimited Competition. Thirty five years later, friendships from my twirling youth remain and we are thousands of miles apart. |
