Retired 1 Nov 98 - 20 yrs, 14 days, 16 hrs, 8mins after beginning of service. On my first day of retirement I was declared 100% disabled (actually 100% and a special of 60%, the guy told me they hadn't come to the end of my injuries and medical problems by the time they had reached the magic 100% point and what was left over added up to 60% disabled. I had always told people I was more than a mere man, and now the VA had proven it. I married, and am still married to, the most beautiful woman in the world. |
