| Introduction | Have you ever met someone who you just know is not a natural born socializing machine? One of those people who honestly prefers to stay at home (and away from overly-busy crowds) and who live their lives quietly apart with a book or some project or simply some time to sit and think as they work toward the meaning of their very being? A person for whom small talk is very (VERY!) hard because the ability to engage in conversation using small talk is a skill that doesn't get exercised all that often? Ever met someone like that? Of course you haven't. The reason, of course, is that those kinds of people don't usually venture out to where they're in danger of meeting new people like you. Why? Because they're hermits. Hermits live a life of solitude and introspection, largely removed from the noisy business of the modern world, spending most of their lives in quiet pursuit of the meaning of it All - the life of the Outside Looking In. I've always loved to write, and find that it is in writing that I discover my true thoughts best. This work represents an exploration: here, I'll write about thoughts I find along the Way.
