| Introduction | About a hundred years ago when I was a little girl, my wonderful Swedish Grandma made doll clothes for me. About 37 years ago, I started making barbie doll clothes for my first daughter. About 20 years ago, I started making doll clothes for my younger daughter, who (thankfully) disliked Barbie but fell in love with the BOOKS from the American Girl line... so she got a couple of the dolls. She wanted clothes for them, so I started sewing again. One of her favorite activities with her dolls was to create her own stories for the dolls, based on their wardrobe... When she outgrew the dolls, I started sewing costumes for her and her friends... when she outgrew THAT I just kept sewing and sewing and sewing... until my husband said he felt like he was living in doll clothes showroom! and so began my new career... |
