| Introduction | I taught school for 13 years before having my first child and choosing to stay home with him. My plan has always been to teach my children at home. I have taught K-8th grades over those years so have experience with teaching all ages. I have a Master's Degree in Literacy where I learned how to use picture books to teach reading and comprehension. In 2003, I won the Southern Union's Most Innovative Teacher Award. Although, I was quite burned out from teaching when I quit, I hope the creativity comes back full force when teaching my children. I am always excited to share teaching ideas and tips with others. |
