Location	Cincinnati, Ohio
Introduction	I have been an animal lover my whole life. I was the kid who went to the creek and brought home a crawfish as a pet, saw a baby rabbit in the yard and thought I could raise it myself, and even came home with a baby raccoon once. It seems we’ve had just about everything possible to have as a pet. Today I share my home with two birds – Dreyfuss and Barnaby. I have been studying positive behavior management off and on for many years and enjoy sharing what I’ve learned with others. I have taken Dr. Susan Friedman's online Living and Learning with Parrots course, the Art and Science of Training Companion Parrots workshop from Orlando-based Natural Encounters, and several workshops from trainer Barbara Heidenreich. I’m also a member of the International Association of Avian Trainers and Educators. My pet interest has led me to become a pet columnist for Hyde Park Living, and write guest articles and blog posts.
