| Introduction | Haysie-Doodle Designs is the brain child of me, Hays, a violin teacher, wife, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and mother of three precious children. My paternal grandmother, Granmy, patiently spent many hours in front of a sewing machine teaching me the fundamentals. Not always the most cooperative (or gifted) student, I learned a lot more about life than bobbins during those sessions. Much of the creative energy in Haysie-Doodle Designs is a credit to Granmy and her quiet patience. My maternal grandmother, Meme, called me "Haysie-Doodle." Although faced with numerous personal challenges throughout her 98 years, Meme’s faith in God was completely unshakable; her love and compassion for friends and family truly unconditional. It is out of respect and admiration for this special lady that the clothing line is affectionately named Haysie-Doodle. |
