Introduction	I have been painting since moving to North Carolina in 2000. The light, relaxed ambiance and quirkiness of the coast is conducive to bright and fun artwork. Towns and buildings forgotten by time are commonplace. Roadside businesses outnumber chain stores and malls. Bright colors and steamy weather contribute to the “always on vacation” feeling. This is a place that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Inspiration comes easy from local color and the coastal lifestyle. I’m lucky to count several professional artists among friends and family. They have been an invaluable source of knowledge, mentoring and cheerleading. My art has been described as happy and fun to look at, no drama here! To me, that’s high praise.
