Felting British Wool - a Fabrikant project

About me

Introduction	I am a textile artist based in Somerset. I work mostly in felt, but also spin and weave, and use stitch, beading and found objects. You can read all about my work at www.TheFabrikantBlog.wordpress.com. My background is in medieval and architectural history, and this tends to creep into much of what I do. I am interested in heritage crafts, British and rare breed sheep, rescuing and up-cycling vintage textiles and furniture, and domestic social history, and am drawing some of these strands together as I am training to be a traditional upholsterer and furniture renovator. Fabrikant Furniture will be launching in late 2013, specialising in chairs and footstools. I also like to cook, eat, drink, grow some vegetables, listen to the radio, knit, crochet, spend time with my partner and the cat, dream of having a smallholding with sheep, and read whodunits.
