| Introduction | The word "sammich" has been the vernacular term for food stuffed between two bits of bread for as long as I can remember. It's a very fundamental word. Speaking of (funda)mental words, the word "lunatic" refers to a person whose mind is afflicted by disquiet on a lunar cycle. Like werewolves or women who have PMS. Do female werewolves get PMS? I digress. As much as I eat sammiches all the time (mmmmm cheese sammich!), I'm also working full time right now on my mental disquiet. It's not a thing to dread every 28 days as much as it is something I've lived with dysfunctionally for the past million years (or thereabouts) and which recently finally broke me. Reading this blog may be like eating a lunatic sammich now and then. Or maybe it will be better. |
