| Introduction | On the morning December 24, 2009 I woke anticipating a change. I rolled out of bed and snuck to the bathroom where a pregnancy test awaited. A few moments later I was in quiet shock and excitement. I was going to be a mommy. At the end of August 2010 the greatest joy and challenge came out of my belly and into my life. It has been a tearful journey to see the silver-lining of brain-injury, Cerebral Palsy, seizures, seizure meds, developmental delays, a failed marriage, a short sale and loss of a steady paycheck. There is no way I could have ever known that my little baby G could push me to be so much kinder, more patient, more forgiving, more understanding, more calm, more compassionate, more loving...and so amazingly happy. I wanted her so desperately before she was conceived, even more when she was born and it amazes me everyday how I can cuddle and love her so much...and want her even more. Blessing doesn't begin to describe my sweet baby G... |
