| Introduction | My name is Cat and I work for a none for profit hostel organisation but soon I'll be eloping to the hills to run a more remote establishment! This will help my recent decision to eradicate all care products with synthetic ingredients from my daily routines which I've realised is most of them (showering, washing up, laundry). The most challenging change will be my 'no poo' experiment but luckily the internet provides ample support and advice. Now one week into the 'transitional phase,' its harder getting up each day and wondering if I'll cave because I suspect people are finally ruminating over my hygiene practices. Hopefully in the hills I'll have peace to experiment further and my family won't puzzle over my sudden devotion to headgear or wonder why the shower smells of vinegar. Perhaps by the time they visit me my hair will be wild and free of synthetic nasties, and my free-range egg hair treatment will be to me like bread and cheese was to Heidi! If nothing else this blog will serve me as a hair journal (I'm pretty sure Moleskine don't do those) and showcase my journey to a healthier and more frugal lifestyle even if it means smelling like cleaning fluid along the way! |
