Occupation writer, vocalist

Introduction I'm a 47 year-old mother of three boys, living in Seattle and in the process of starting over. I am also a jazz vocalist and a writer. I have lots of cool friends, who are kind, generous and patient with me. Running is meditation for me. I'm not fast or sleek, but it keeps me reasonably sane all the same. (Well, to whatever extent that's possible. Oy!) I love to hang out with my kids, read books and to support other musicians by going out for their performances. The Buddhist philosophy seems to work for me. I love coffee, ice cream and Thai food. I love animals. My dog Audrey died last October, and I miss her every day. My closest confidant is my sister Martha. I would not do very well without her. After 22 years of marriage, it's mighty strange to be flying solo out in the world, but I'll figure it out.
Interests My children, jazz and running.
