Introduction	I am a dedicated parent and Educator in the Bay Area Public School Education System.The intention of this blog is to keep track of the amount of information I acquire as an Educator. The focus of all exchanges through this blog is to raise our consciousness as a society torn with the many pathways of education. I speak with a social and environmental justice intention knowing that our school is a system that has been used to replicate oppression but has the potential to liberate us; how we use the information we receive about education helps us make the latter a reality! I found that opening up dialogue around appropriate practices in education depends on whose leadership framework you are functioning from. I choose to come from a parent's perspective although I have a Master's in Education, am a Nationally Board Certified Teacher, and am currently in Administration in Deep East Oakland. And as a parent I want to be able to say this world is a place to be who you are and create the dream you want to achieve. As an educator it is my job to speak the truth of the barriers that prevent this and how we as an educated people can change these barriers.
