| Introduction | Graduating from the prestigious Los Angeles County High School for the Arts in 2007, Thomas Philip has used his training in Theater Arts and Directing to spearhead a number of independent projects in film and photography. Thomas Philips work centers around the mundane but aims to achieve a new relevance and majesty by revealing the overlooked details in everyday life through his photography. Contrary to current photography and film, Thomas Philip prefers working in minimal conditions, capturing images in an organic natural state and straying away from heavy photoshop manipulation. As a direct result much of his work retains a raw, gritty expressiveness that oozes from the image. Thomas Philip is currently a member of Film Independent and is the producer of the independent Documentary "The Real Wolek". a project that focuses on the struggle between making it on your own, and providing for your family. |
