| Introduction | According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, each year about 1 in 33 babies, in the United States alone, are born with some form of a birth defect. Ranging from very mild to life threatening. On December 3rd, 2009 my newborn baby girl, was added to that stat. Caitlyn was born with a very rare lymphatic malformation; her exact diagnosis is Klippel Trenaunay Syndrome. It affects her right chest wall, her left flank, left thigh, and across her pelvis. My name is Sondra, I am Caitlyn's mom. This is the story of our precious gift, Caitlyn.
