Introduction My name is Angela and I decided on Sept. 28th, 2010 that I would make a life change. That change is to become healthier and learn to live without always depending on food. My starting weight: an astonishing 300 lbs! This blog is documenting my struggles as I learn to exercise, eat right, and most importantly, learn to love myself for who I am. I have set a weight loss goal of 50 lbs. in six months. I made a promise to leave nothing unsaid. I'll always be truthful in my posts by telling it like it is! Here is what is going on in my neck of the woods...
Interests Reading, writing my blog, listening to music, playing my trumpet, watching movies and television, crocheting and knitting, being with family and friends, mainly just being myself.
Favorite Movies My goodness....to list all of them in this one little box is nearly impossible. My absolute favorites are the older Hollywood movies in black and white and the old Technicolor movies. I also like comedies, thriller, scary, action, and I love Disney movies.
Favorite Music Again, this box is not sufficient enough to name everything. I like everything. Except most of hip hop, rap, and certain types of newer country. I honestly think I was born in the wrong decade because I hardly ever listen to modern music. I also love any form of classical music....hey I am a band geek after all.
Favorite Books Hmmm.....where to begin? Favorite female author is Jane Austen. Favorite male author is Edgar Alan Poe. I also love J. K. Rowling, and all of Charlaine Harris' books. I also love Philippa Gregory's historical fictions. I have almost read all of her 16th Century Tudor books. I also love, love, LOVE Linda Berdoll's continuation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice with her books "Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife" and "Darcy and Elizabeth." I also have read several times Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. This book helped me to realize that I needed to make a change in my life. I also enjoy the classics such as Shakespeare, Louisa May Alcott, Mark Twain, Nathaniel Hawthore, Mary Shelley, and all the other ones they made you read in high school. I read at least one book a week and my ideal job in life would be a book critic.

When you open your eyes underwater, do you ever worry that you'll drown?

I almost did once and the only thing I can recall from it was how things looked under the water. So now I don't hardly ever open them while underwater.
