Introduction Read "War is Slavery - An Awakening" (6/13/08) for an overview of where I'm at, at this point on my life. I'm a father, retired businessperson, and a military veteran (Army, infantry, in the U.S. war against the people of Viet Nam). I have a BA from Michigan State University and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. I married my magnificent spouse in 1971. I am finding dialogue (vs. debate) with diverse people to be fascinating. I believe that there is always a way to resolve a conflict peacefully. It may take time. It may take negotiations. It will take skill. It will take intelligence. But there is ALWAYS a way. I believe that rational people resort to violence because they either make money at it, or they can't think of any options. I believe that fear breeds hate and that fear is used by those in power to keep their power. If the people are kept busy fighting themselves, they won't have time or energy to fight those in power. I believe democracy is a verb and true democracy is a threat to the powerful. I believe that if you have to hurt someone to solve a problem, you are the problem.
