| Introduction | Karen was born in South Africa, but raised in Southern California. She graduated from Cal State Fullerton in 2003 with her B.S. in Child & Adolescent Development. She received her credential in Mathematics in 2004. She is beginning her 6th year teaching, but her first year at San Juan Hills High School. She will be the Head Swim Coach for Boys and Girls at San Juan Hills High School in the spring for the 3rd year! She just celebrated her 2nd anniversary with her husband, Alex Sanchez, on August 5 and just loves being a wife! Alex works as a Research Analyst for an executive search firm in Costa Mesa. He graduated from Pepperdine University with a BS in Management. Before college, Alex served four years in the Marine Corps, deploying twice to Iraq with 1st Battalion, 5th Marines. |
