| Introduction | Welcome to my blog. I am an aspiring writer who has found great pleasure in my first years of retirement. Although the decision to retire was an easy one for me, I know that many men and women have conflicted feelings about retirement because they fear losing the sense of self that they have cultivated through many years of hard work and / or raising a family. I would like this blog to be a forum for women (and men) to share their experiences as they prepare for and embark upon this journey called retirement and more broadly, the greater journey of aging. I believe two things strongly: 1) We aren't just getting older; we're getting better! and 2) Working together and sharing ideas makes everyone stronger. |
