Introduction	Dr. Omid Zargari was born in northern Iran, near the beautiful shores of the Caspian Sea. He entered the National University of Iran in Tehran and got his MD from this University in 1992. After three years working as a general practitioner, he started the four-year period of residency in dermatology departments of Loghman and Booali hospitals. He was awarded the Iranian board of dermatology in 1999. Then he returned to the north of Iran and started his work as a dermatologist in a leprosy clinic, Guilan skin research center and Guilan University of Medical Sciences. He has published several papers in different fields of dermatology. In 2003 Dr. Zargari was selected as the best researcher of the Guilan University of Medical Sciences. Dr Zargari has a special interest in information technology and in 2001 he started a dermatology website: www.iranderma.com. With the aim of introducing this technology and to encourage and help his colleagues to use it in their works, he wrote several papers and held a seminar on this issue. Outside of medicine, he enjoys different aspects of arts and literature, and similar to all Iranians, has written a poem book that will never be published!
