| Introduction | I am a retired, academically trained, clinical social worker. I've been in three relationships: one hetro married and two relationships which were prohibited a civil marriage. I have a 31 year old son who lives in the Cincinnati area with his wife. He has always known that I'm a Gay man---my hetro spouse and I separated when my son was 5. I live in Reno, Nevada. I'm a veteran of the United States Army, voluntarily serving during the Vietnam War Era. I struggle with PTSD and MDD, both of which I got while serving our beloved country. I defended the U.S. Constitution and it still doesn't include me among the "home of the brave and the land of the free." I've been active in the "cultural war" that is waged against us by the evilgelical fundamentalistical "christians" for many years now. We are now far enough along that I am certain that, in the end, we will win the homophobes' "cultural war." I'm not going to see the time when we are finally free, free at last, but I smile because I know freedom is coming. |
