| Introduction | Welcome to ‘maggik moments’. I’m a ‘Lancashire lass’ who makes textiles – sometimes. A bit of a dabbler, I haven’t yet found the one thing which makes me devote enough time to producing work that I’m satisfied with. One of the problems is that I know too many people who are brilliant at what they do and I compare myself with them. The second is that I just enjoy my social life too much! I’m thinking of retiring from being ‘retired’ – it’s just too much like hard work! – but ‘I deserve it’ after 30 years of teaching? I’m a self-confessed ‘travel tart’ who can pack a suitcase and be off in a matter of minutes – my Sagittarian influence, no doubt? I am starting this blog with the intention of it making me more serious about my ‘textiling’. |
