| Interests | In March 2005 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was 49. I had 2 types of cancer, metaplastic carcinoma (invasive) and ductal carcinoma in situ (non invasive). Two months later, my husband Barry was diagnosed with liver cancer. We have a great son Tim and the THREE of us are SURVIVORS. Updates 5/07: My breast cancer returned and I am once again going through chemo to kill the damn cancer. 11/07: Extensive chest resection surg to remove cancer beneath my sternum, wrapped around a main heart artery along with removal of 3 ribs. Update 4 & 11/08:2 different brain tumors out of the blue. Cancer is now in my lungs. 1/09 lung surgery to remove liquid out side of my lungs, using method that includes talcum powder blown into area to create irritation. 2/09: On new chemo drug IXOMEA. A strong drug and experienced terrible aches during the first week of treatment. Decided that would be the end of treatment and now Hospice has been called.Angels do walk on the earth.Husband's tumors continue to stay put.. Is in pain, but never complains. |
