Occupation6th, 7th, 8th Grade Reading and Language Arts Teacher
LocationTerril, Iowa
IntroductionI started my life out in Alta, Iowa (many years ago), grew up and graduated from high school there. My first child, Brittany was born in Missoula, Montana. My son, Nathanial, and daughter, Carly followed her. We moved to Spencer in 2000. I have taught in every grade except 3rd grade and in many places including private school, large city school, and small rural schools. I believe my experiences allow me to bring variety into the classroom and they make me aware of the baggage today's student can sometimes have to deal with when trying to learn. I knew I wanted to be a teacher when I was in 2nd grade. My older sister, Sandra, was a teacher and I thought that was the coolest thing in the world, still do! I am very happy in the Graettinger-Terril School District and I hope to put my roots down here until retirement.
