| Introduction | I'm the author of six novels, a novella, a kerfuffle of short stories, and some other stuff, including ghostwriting some well-known books. I also dabble on the Hollywood side and with stage productions.
I like fried chicken and fly shoes. I hate talking on the phone, unless you're calling for business (and it better be something good). I do like social networking. See? I'm fun! I got jokes. I've also got some bitch in me, but it takes a lot to flip that switch. If you do, you won't even realize it until days or months (maybe even years!) after it happens. Even then, you'll doubt yourself. Welcome to my mindfuck. And for the last time, "Lolita Files" is my real name. There are plenty of Files family members and folks who can corroborate this. As for the "Lolita" part, my mom named me after the Kubrick movie based on Nabokov's book, although she saw or read neither. Her entire life, she had no idea "Lolita" had sexual overtones. Don't believe me? She once asked me what "the C-word" was after she heard the phrase on Judge Judy. So yeah, my mom totally missed the whole slut thing associated with my name. |
