Introduction	I arrived in Provincetown in the autumn of 1988. The astonishing beauty here still takes my breath away. I want you all to find a bit of the magic of this place... to take a walk on the beach or bicycle through the forest, spend time out amongst the whales, have a great meal, see a drag show, fall in love with a piece of art... Every year I get out on the trails, take a dune ride, and tour more than 60 galleries and museums. I visit countless shops, see all the shows, and even stay in a guesthouse or two. And I eat EVERYWHERE! There are 89 restaurants and shops where you can have a gourmet meal or a quick bite, a prize-winning clam chowder or a wheat grass smoothie, a succulent steak or 160 flavors of homemade gelato. I seek out the best of the best, yearround. I welcome your nominations for most creative chef, nicest hike, best tour guide, friendliest waitstaff, best dining bargains, historic tidbits, tastiest cocktail, favorite performer... or anything else you'd care to point out.
