| Introduction | I started my community organizing work in August 2017 because I believe that individual actions can create meaningful change. I wish it had not taken so long, but starting in 2014, I could no longer remain in my bubble after understanding how parents of children of color have very different experiences than parents of white children. Since then, I have chosen to be actively anti-racist, (1) educating myself and adjusting my actions accordingly; (2) listening, amplifying, and following people of color in this work; and, (3) encouraging others to do the same.
