| Introduction | I am 29...almost the dreaded 30 and am in my first two classes of graduate school. It was one of my goals for before I turned 30 to start graduate school, so I am glad that I have gotten on my way. I am in my 8th year of teaching middle school Language Arts. Most people groan when they hear that, but I love middle school students. They are an age group that I find to be truly unique. However, while I enjoy teaching for the most part, I am very disenchanted by the pressures of FCAT and teaching to the test. So I decided to put my love of books to work and get my masters in LIS. I would ultimately love to become a middle school media specialist. Personally, I have been married for 6 years, have two kitties and I love to travel. My husband and I are transplants from the Midwest where our families still live, and where we laugh at them every winter as they complain about how miserable it is up there. Personally, we love Florida (yes even in the summer) and are not moving back! |
