| Introduction | I am a 40 something stay at home mom of four, thus the four l's in virtuallllmom! We adopted our oldest three in 2002 when they were 8, 6, and 4. Their birthmom had another baby in 2003 and we were blessed with her at 2 1/2 months. We deal with ADHD, attachment issues, drug exposure, and good old fashioned fun kid stuff! I was a teacher before my kid's needs dictated that it was best for me to be home and available. We home schooled successfully for 2 years but my social butterflies were ready to join their friends at the local public school. We live in a small town and are so fortunate to have a good school were I can be very involved. Politically I lean libertarian and would love to see education privatized....I can dream. I am instinctively individualistic which sometimes wars with my Christianity. I know I can be dogmatic about liberty for all....and I mean ALL not just those with high IQ's, and true LIBERTY where failure is expected.... because it has been granted to us by our creator. I am rational, pragmatic and self-reliant to a fault... becoming a mom has allowed me to practice my softer side, but don't mess with me.... you never know if the softer side is on top! |
