| Introduction | I started a research on the topic (master thesis) and I created this blog to post progressively some of the results and to aquire some insights. Your opinion is a precious tool for widening and further development. At the end I will post my quantitative and qualitative results and perhaps also my thesis. I want to find out what are the most important features (perceived and not) of these software and finally I want to discover who performs them better. After that, a crucial point for my thesis is the assessment of the marketing strategies implemented by the vendors. A particular focus will be on Symantec, the undoubted leader of the industry that despite several criticisms detains roughly the 50% of the pie.
