| Introduction | I'm a Real Estate agent Northside Realty,Inc. in Raleigh, NC. I was raised in Toledo, the 3rd oldest of 8. My beautiful mother had a flare for fashion on a budget! My father was a newspaper photographer and highly visual! The combination gave me an eye for detail and a bargain. I joined the airline and traveled the world for 26 years. I did some runway modeling in San Francisco. I also worked for an advertising agency for a short time. My passion for thrifting picked up working shifts at the SF Junior league Next-to-New shop.In 1985 I was hired by Mervyn's Department store to create their Christmas catalogue. Fashion, creativity and travel enhanced my view of thrifting.I love the treasures I find. They end up helping me stage a client's home for sale.I often find things for my clients, friends and family.I do public speaking and training and often add "thrifty" stories. Yes, I've sold some things and made money. It's a fun hobby and one I've shared w/ my girls! We love it! |
