| Introduction | Originally from Dallas, TX, I now live in the fun and laid-back city of Austin. I am currently a junior at the University of Texas pursuing a B.S. in molecular biology with additional coursework in neurobiology. This year, I became a member of Dr. John Mihic's lab in the Waggoner Center for Alcohol & Addiction Research where we will be doing oocyte voltage clamp studies to determine the exact structure/function of glycine receptors as well as modulatory effects and specific sites of action of alcohol and other volatile anesthetics. |
