Introduction	I'm a freelance journalist, writer and lecturer. I used to work for the Independent for many years and now write about all kinds of stuff, working for several different national newspapers. I also teach journalism at Goldsmiths college in New Cross and at City University in Islington. I have a particular interest in food and wine, about which I sometimes write, so you will get a lot of that here because it is a chance to shout my mouth off about things I like and dislike and make some recommendations others might find useful. There will also be some tedious domestic matters and general ranting and raving, I'm afraid. I live in north London, and I have two teenage sons, Leo and Max.
