Introduction As a child, you could find me with a pencil in my hands, drawing or doodling my way through life. As a teenager, I discovered photography and it has been part of my life ever since. I also found a way to express my creativity through my hands in designing and building fine furniture using wood. Now am pursuing oil painting and am continuing to learn and create. I find the freedom of expression in this media so wide open and less restrictive compared to my past artistic medias. I have always been self taught, learning through written materials, study of great work and experimentation. So when I started to oil paint, I sought out information on the web and in books, that's when I discovered there is more questionable information out there than good information. I found it very frustrating, thus as I found good sources and was able to learn enough to distinguish the hype and knowledge-less opinions my understanding of this complex media grew quickly. I want to share this for the next serious self learner. My wife Cindy is a photographer and you can see her work at (www.cindysartphotos.com and www.tummiesandtinytoes.com)
