About me

Introduction	Dearborn Cabinetry was born out of the need for quality, well designed, hand-made custom cabinetry at affordable prices. I had worked with my craftspeople as a customer for over 7 years before caving to the demands of friends and neighbors to work as a designer and broker of these wonderful cabinets. I am thoroughly enjoying helping customers create their dream kitchens—some have been tearing out photos and refining their kitchen plans for as long as a decade! As a real estate developer, I have been renovating and building luxury residential projects since 1986, working in Greenwich, Connecticut, New Canaan, Connecticut, and Chicago, Illinois. Some of these projects can be seen on my blog under the “Dearborn Barry Properties” tab. Prior to my work on the east coast, I renovated nearly a dozen historic properties in Chicago, in the historic Bucktown and Wicker Park neighborhoods. Before I transitioned to the world of construction, I worked as a Management Consultant with McKinsey & Company, and then Manager of Corporate Strategy with PepsiCo.
