| Introduction | The great recession got us started on an attempt at self reliance. Reality has shown us that 3/4 of an acre up against a small mountain is not going to do that, as well as being children of the seventies and eighties, we are just too spoiled by modern society. We started with a a small garden, added a few chickens, got a few ducks, and then a few rabbits. The rabbits have been the one thing that binds the wife and I with a small farm. So we decided that we needed to ensure a way to teach our grandchildren to not rely quite so much on big biz by learning how ourselves first. |
