Introduction	My father was a 1st generation American with parents from Denmark and Sweden. Both families immigrated to the US in the 1900's. My mother descended from immigrants to America in the 1600's to 1754. One of her ancestors was a primary founder of Jamestown, the first official English settlement. This made for an interesting family as I grew up in San Francisco. The result was harmonious because they both lived these decisions: tell the truth, be kind and do more than your share.
