| Introduction | I've been running since 1983. Originally I started running to take part in the Bradford Marathon after a bet with some mates in the pub. Having completed the marathon, I did a few more races in the next couple of years, before work & family commitments meant that I didn't have time for racing. I carried on running once or twice a week for the next 20 years or so. Having given up working full time in 2007, I decided to start running a bit more seriously & joined Ilkley Harriers & restarted racing. So far I've managed to get my 10k time from 42:30 in early 2008, to 39:57 at the end of 2008 and 37:04 early in 2010. Still got someway to go to run at the same pace as in 1983. |
