Introduction	I am the current Ms. California United States 2011 and the former Miss Texas International 2009. My platform is "Preventing Youth Crimes" and I have dedicated my reign to the positive effects of after school programs and youth mentoring. I had the opportunity to speak to children all over the state of Texas, on the importance of education and that by believing in your dreams anything is possible. I am fortunate enough now that I get to do that all around Los Angeles, California with the P.A.C.E. school program www.paceshow.org. I currently work for the Ritz Carlton and I received my BFA in Fashion Design from the Art Institute of CA- San Francisco. Giving back to the community is a huge part of my life; which is why I live by the words of Mahatma Gandhi, “Be the change that you want to see in the world”. On July 15, 2011 I will be competing for the title of Ms. United States in Las Vegas, Nevada. Interests	In my spare time I enjoy Modern and Contemporary Art, museums, traveling, cooking Asian food, reading, my two dogs (a mini schnauzer and a Boston terrier), and spending time with family and friends.
